Session: Translation at the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare
After a brief introduction to the EDQM, you’ll discover how the language services team is organised, the tools we use on a daily basis and the types of texts we work on, the processes in place and what the transition from freelance translator to translator at EDQM has taught me.

Speaker: Cécile Gautier (France)
Cécile Gautier graduated from the University of Lille (France) in 2008 and worked as a localisation project manager in Madrid before embarking on a freelance translation career in March 2009. Based first in Lille and, later, Paris, Cécile specialised in medicine and international development, working from English and Spanish to French, before moving east in February 2016 to join the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM)/Council of Europe in Strasbourg as a scientific translator. A former member of the SFT, ITI and ASETRAD, Cécile enjoys networking and talking about what she does and loves.
